If you don’t climb the mountain you’ll never see the view.
That’s one of the reasons climbers climb – the views are amazing when you get to the top. Not always so on the way up. The climb can be quite difficult but oh…
the top makes it all worth it.
And even though the climb can be rough there is good too. You can see some great things on the way up, you gain strength, you have time for reflection...
Not all of us will climb a mountain like McKinley or Kilimanjaro in our lifetime. But we all have mountains to climb. While I’ve not climbed one of the “big ones” I am from Montana and have seen my share of high places. There is a highway going up to Yellowstone called the Beartooth. It’s a narrow, steep, twisting road with razor sharp switchbacks and very long drops over the edge. Many a traveler has turned around or proceeded to find their knuckles white and trousers wet at the top.
It’s scary but it’s worth it.
The views are amazing!
The air is fresh!
It’s breathtaking!
Life is a bit like that. While the valley can be quiet and peaceful, it also gets snowed in during the winter and the rivers dry up in the summer. It may be easier to stay in the valley and avoid the climb but you miss out on the view.
BroMan needs a studio manager in Malawi. We’ve been looking for quite a while. Since this is a non-profit organization, there is no funding for this position. The person who takes this position must raise 75% percent of their own support. BroMan will cover 25%. So...
The person that takes the position would need to climb. Free climb basically.
No rope.
A bit scary in normal circumstances. Very scary in the current economy. But the climb is worth the view. You will see lives impacted and changed, girls rescued, families restored. What a view!
Will you consider climbing? Do you know anyone who might?
That is our wish for this Christmas season. We’re looking for someone to climb with us.
Thank you for your support of BroMan during 2009.
We wish you and your family the Merriest of Christmases. |
